Who is not an addict?!?

from computerworld:

internet addiction is on the rise in the world's largest net market (china) and now chinese doctors have officially defined it as an ailment.

users who spend six hours or more per day online, and exhibit at least one symptom including difficulty sleeping or concentrating, yearning to be online, irritation, and mental or physical distress are classified as meeting the definition of addiction.

we spend on average 10 hours a day at work, minus the lunch hour and smoke breaks, that leaves us with 8.5 hours actually working. and of that 8.5 hours, take away 1.5 hours for meetings, which leave us with 7 hours on the computer. of that 7 hours, maybe 1/2 of that time for word processing and the rest online. now add the number of hours you spend online each night at home after work.

so who is not an addict and who doesn't exhibit one of those symptoms listed above?!? chinese docs, a little too late to be telling us this! according to the article, they've even set up clinics to help people escape from the online routine. you can't be serious...
